Ladan Bosso finds it difficult for him to choose his 21-man squad for the AFCON

Bosso is working with the players every day in their Abuja camp and is just a few days away from naming his championship group.

According to reports, the twelve players were decamped on Monday for failing to perform well in training. The club returned to practice with 35 players two weeks ago.

Ladan Bosso, the head coach of the Flying Eagles, is having difficulty selecting his final roster for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2023.

Bosso has until January 25 to submit his 21-man squad to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, who would subsequently send it to the Confederation of African Football, CAF.

Some foreign-based athletes have also attended the training camp to compete for a spot on the squad. Nigeria, a seven-time African Championship winner, has been drawn in Group A with Egypt, Mozambique, and Senegal.

The 2023 U-20 AFCON, which serves as a qualifier for the World Cup, will take place in Egypt from February 19 to March 11.
