The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the mop-up examination for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will occur on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Approximately 96,838 candidates are anticipated to participate in this examination across 183 centers throughout Nigeria.

This mop-up is specifically for the 5,096 candidates who were unable to take their exams earlier due to reasons such as biometric verification failures, in addition to the 91,742 candidates who missed either one or both of the main UTME and resit examinations. The update was shared by JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday.

The mop- up candidates are expected to print their exam slip as soon as possible  to check their exam details

JAMB has also reported that 113 CBT centers have been suspended or removed due to rule violations or technical issues in previous examinations. Some centers are still under investigation, and those found guilty of misconduct will be banned and reported to the relevant authorities.

As a result, certain exam towns will not be utilized for the mop-up Examination.
