Our Story
The name Undergragra is a creative blend of two words:
- “Undergraduates” – students currently studying in a higher institution.
- “Gragra” – a popular Nigerian slang that means to show off, act pompous, or overdo things.
We coined the name in 2018 when we observed how students change behavior once they gain admission into the university—starting to “do gragra.” We decided to own the narrative and build a platform that reflects the energy, boldness, and vibrancy of Nigerian student life.
Since our founding in September 2018, Undergragra has grown into a trusted resource for students nationwide—offering value, connection, and community.
