The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has generously gifted the top graduating students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY).At the 15th combined convocation ceremony, he announced that each of the nine exceptional graduates spanning the 2015/2016 to the 2023/2024 academic sessions will receive a cash prize of N2.5 million.Governor Abiodun’s gesture underscores his commitment to excellence and his intention to acknowledge and reward remarkable academic achievements. This announcement was made during the convocation, which celebrated the accomplishments of nine academic cohorts from 2016 to 2024.
Additionally, the governor revealed a two billion naira intervention fund earmarked for various infrastructural improvements at the polytechnic. This investment aims to enhance the institution’s facilities and create a better educational environment for students.
Governor Abiodun expressed his regret regarding his predecessor’s decision to relocate the polytechnic to Ipokia, which he acknowledged has negatively impacted the institution. Nonetheless, he reiterated that his administration has been diligently working to rejuvenate MAPOLY and restore its former prestige.He conveyed his belief that the polytechnic would continue to flourish and become a hub of excellence in human capital development. The governor assured students and staff that his administration is committed to providing all necessary support for the institution’s success.
The governor also introduced several intervention projects that his administration plans to undertake at the polytechnic. These initiatives include:

>>The development of the road leading to the polytechnic’s auditorium
>>The establishment of a state-of-the-art modern library
>>The construction of a new building for the accountancy department
