Classes have been canceled at a high school in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, on Monday while authorities look into a possible bomb threat.
After receiving a threat early in the morning, officials at Eastdale CVI, which is adjacent to Harmony Road and Adelaide Avenue, claim they made the decision to close the school for the day in order to conduct an investigation.
“We are working collaboratively with Durham Regional Police Service in managing our response in the interest of student and staff safety,” reads a post on the school’s website.
“Please do not send your children to school. We will provide a further update once we have more information.”
Durham police affirm that they are collaborating with the school and state that there is no solid evidence to support the validity of the bomb threat.
When investigators have more information, they will provide more details, according to the police.
