FUOYE set to resume on the 23rd of October,holds matriculation November 16 and 17.
Federal university Oye Ekiti, Ekiti state(FUOYE) is set to resume it academic works on the 23rd of October.The school was closed indefinitely due to the demise of a 200 level nursing student by name Atanda Modupe on the 9th of September,2023.Modupe was said to have gone for a night class,and was reported missing the next day,her remains was later found in a shallow grave within the school premises,this was the terrific event that led to the closure of the school. Following the permission by the university senate,the Federal university Oye Ekiti (FUOYE)has urged it’s student to begin a new academic session on Monday October 23.This would start the first semester of the new academic session, according to a statement made by the school registrar,Mr Mufutau Adeshina IbrahimThis conclusion was drawn and approved by the university senate at it’s 58th statutory meeting held on 11th October,2023.In the memorandum entitled “Notice of resumption for the first semester 2023/2024 academic session “,the university asked all the students both returning students and the freshers to resume academic activities with effect on Monday 23rd of October. The matriculation ceremony of the newly admitted students is scheduled to hold on Thursday 16th and 17th Friday November,2023.In regards to this all students who have been granted admission are urged to complete all the necessary registration to prevent a last minute contretemps.
