JAMB DE Registration 2025 Requirements and Deadline
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially commenced the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration. The e-PIN vending and registration will close on April 7, 2025. Candidates should note that registration can only be done at State and Zonal JAMB Offices nationwide.

✅ JAMB 2025 Direct Entry (DE) Requirements
Candidates must have:
- A minimum of five (5) O’level credit passes at not more than two sittings.
- At least two prescribed subjects at the Principal or Advanced level for their intended course of study.
Other acceptable qualifications in place of A-Level results include:
- University Degree
- University Diploma/NFLD
- ND/NID, HND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEB
- NABTEB-ANBC, NABTEB-ANTC, NABTEB-GCE A’LEVEL (2015-2021)
- Cambridge A’level, International Baccalaureate (foreign certificates only)
- National Registered Nurse/National Registered Midwife (NRN/NRM)
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
- Awarding institutions must verify all qualifications directly before candidates can be admitted.
Required Information for DE Registration
At the point of registration, candidates must provide:
1️⃣ Registration/Matriculation Number of the institution where the qualification was obtained.
2️⃣ Subjects of the qualification.
3️⃣ Awarding institution.
4️⃣ Institution actually attended.
Step-by-Step Procedure for 2025 DE Registration
A. Creation of JAMB Profile
1️⃣ Candidates must use a unique mobile number (SIM) that has not been used before for DE registration.
2️⃣ Send your National Identification Number (NIN) by SMS to 55019 or 66019 in this format:
(Ensure there is a space between “NIN” and the 11-digit number)
3️⃣ You will receive a Profile Code (10 characters) on the same mobile number.
4️⃣ The phone number used for registration will be linked to the candidate’s JAMB profile for all future communications.
5️⃣ Present the Profile Code at a bank or authorized vendor to obtain the e-PIN.
6️⃣ Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT Centre with your Profile Code and e-PIN to complete the registration.
⚠️ Biometric verification (fingerprint scanning) is compulsory before completing the registration.
Other Important DE Registration & Admission Rules
Uploading of Results: DE candidates who are not awaiting results must upload their A’level qualification, O’level results, and DE Registration Template at the point of registration.
Awaiting Results: Candidates with pending IJMB, JUPEB, or NABTEB results must upload their Admission Letter and Registration Template during registration.
Cambridge A-Level Certificates: Candidates with pre-2018 Cambridge certificates must visit Cambridge for verification, which may take up to 28 days.
Statement of Results: Accepted only within 3 years of the date of award.
Upgrade from UTME to DE: Only available for candidates who indicated “Awaiting A’Level Results” at the time of UTME registration.
Checking Admission Status: Candidates must regularly check their e-Facility profile for updates on their A’level verification status.
⚠️ NOTE: Candidates are NOT allowed to register more than once. Any errors must be corrected through JAMB, as duplicate applications will be canceled.
