According to The Times Higher Education’s (THE) 2024 World Universities rankings, Covenant University in Ota, Ogun State, has been rated the best university in Nigeria.
The Federal University of Technology, Akure is ranked third, the University of Lagos is ranked fourth, and the University of Ibadan is ranked second.
The only state universities on the list are Ladoke Akintola and Lagos State, which are ranked 11th and 12th, respectively.
For the seventh year in a row, the University of Oxford tops the global rankings. Stanford University takes over first place, pushing Harvard University to fourth place, and other top-five schools have also seen changes in their positions.
