In a deeply distressing incident, a female student of Gombe State University has been apprehended by the school’s security personnel and subsequently handed over to the police. The arrest follows the harrowing act of allegedly throwing a day-old baby from a three-story building within the university premises, resulting in the tragic demise of the newborn.

Sources indicate that the infant lost its life due to the severe impact sustained from the fall, which occurred within the premises of the girls’ hostel. The motive behind this shocking act appears to be rooted in the distress and desperation experienced by the female student after giving birth to the child.

The incident was confirmed by Mohammed Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer of the institution. Abubakar verified that the culprit responsible for this heart-wrenching act has indeed been handed over to the police for further investigation.
